![]() ![]() There are a few on the web, but I can't remember what they're called. Since the OP is using a DS4, he needs to use one of the programs that converts DS4 input to XInput. Sorry for blabbering, but I'm not sure how this comes across and I'm trying to be clear. You have to disable controller support from the game menu and use the controller to mimic mouse and keyboard. In your case, it won't work as XInput without Steam, (unless you use GloSC), so you'd have to make a controller profile and disable controllers in game.ĭoes that make any sense? Your controller profile in Steam can't emulate any XInput functions, like A, B, X, Y, bumpers, triggers, sticks. Either disable in-game controller support and map everything to keyboard/mouse, or disable Steam controller emulation and let the game read it as XInput. The problem is having both the game and Steam treat it like an XInput device. In your case, you'd have to map everything to a key/mouse function through Steam and disable controller support in game. I assume it is because i am using a steam controller not an xbox one controller. Originally posted by Kyle Thorne:Hi, thanks for your post that is a fix i already tried sadly without success, but people are having luck with it just not me! :( TL DR selecting controller causes the controls to be menu unusable by constantly wanting to scroll to the very top of the UI thus not allowing me to click the ok button at the bottom and use my controller. If it helps, the UI also rapidly switches to the controller hints and then the keyboard hints at the bottom of the control menu.Īny help or knowledge on this? I tried using DS4 windows but that came to no avail. I've also tried different controller configs. ![]() Another option is to use xpadder to translate keyboard and mouse to the xbox controller. I've tried selecting controller and then unplugging keyboard and mouse and that didn't work. hudfreegamer hudfree 4 life hudfreegamer Registered: Dec 2012 From United States Posted NovemSource ports like D2X-XL and DXX Rebirth support it, but they view the triggers as an axis and won't let me use them to shoot. I set my controller config through Big Picture Mode to "Game-pad" but when I go into space engineers (with my mouse and Keyboard) and select my controller, It continuously scrolling up to the very top button and I can't exit the controls menu without turning off my controller which then resets my selected controller to default and I can't use my controller. So with the new official game-pad support, I tried plugging in my PS4 controller as i always do with game-pad supported games. ![]()
